BIOGRAPHY

  • Elif Knight is a Turkish-born British award-winning actress. She was awarded the Patricia Rothermere, Evening Standard Theatre Award by Sir Richard Attenborough, who said:" We saw a lot of promising players, but there was one girl who stood out for us...”
  • Her performance in Cuba Si was commended by Vanessa Redgrave and Director Max Stafford Clark.
  • Elif graduated from the Rose Bruford Drama School & continues to work on her craft as an actress with Jack Waltzer from The Actors Studio.
     
  • Elif has starred alongside Ben Kingsley in Nick Willing's The Magician of Samarkand in the lead role, and went onto play  Nita in the BBC's mini series, The Passion, alongside John Lynch,  Ben Daniels & Joseph Mawle.
     
  • Elif's most dramatic role was playing a real-life journalist in hit TV series Locked Up Abroad for National Geographic & Channel 5 television.
     
  • Her most recent role was playing Leila Hassan in ITV's mini detective drama series, Prey & with Timothy Dalton in Showtime/Sky production of Penny Dreadful.
     
  • Elif is currently starring in LUMINARY a short film about a woman and her addiction to heroin. Currently being circulated at Film Festivals.
